During the past year, a group of civic-minded Oshawans have been working on a campaign that would see an iconic, interactive OSHAWA SIGN installed in time for the City’s 2024 Centennial.
In 2022, the group will be asking the City of Oshawa Council for endorsement in principle.
In 2022 and 2023 the OSHAWA SIGN Committee members are committed to making this project a reality by seeking public input on the sign’s design and location and by launching a publicly funded sponsorship campaign.
A project that acknowledges the indigenous history of Oshawa and promotes civic pride is worthy of our endorsement.
An OSHAWA SIGN will be a striking symbol of the collective commitment of stakeholders to build on Oshawa’s strengths and embrace the transformative future that lies ahead, benefitting residents, enterprises, associations, organizations and businesses alike.
The undersigned agree this is an exciting project and anticipate it becoming a popular City landmark!
